Access for Disabled

Welcome to NEOTTO

Who We Are

The Northeastern Ohio Transportation Technology Opportunity (NEOTTO) was established to develop a coordinated human service transportation system in Portage and Geauga Counties. Portage Area Regional Transportation Authority (PARTA) and Geauga County Transit are recipients of a United We Ride and Mobility Services for All Americans (MSAA) grant to design a system that could be used as a coordination model for the nation.

Project Information

The NEOTTO project will integrate Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) for the purpose of connecting different aspects of transportation service such as reservations, scheduling, dispatching, reporting and billing functions. PARTA and Geauga County Transit have partnered with Kotting Consultants and Trapeze Group to develop a Travel Management Coordination Center to perform all transportation functions within the region. The final design will provide the citizens of Portage and Geauga counties one convenient access point for all transportation services.

The planning and design phase of the project will be complete in July 2008. During this phase, input from the public, human service agencies and other providers of tranpsortion in the region will be vitial to the success of the Travel Management Coordination Center. This website will update the citizens of Northeastern Ohio on the development and design process. Once the project is in the implementation phase, this website will transform into the online reservation system for regional transportation.
